Branding Client Q&A: Miss Fizz
AS EVENT SEASON IS SLOWLY COMING BACK INTO ACTION, CHLOE HAD A CHAT WITH ONE OF HER FIRST CLIENTS CASEY HURST, OWNER OF MISS FIZZ/MISS BUZZ.
What was the moment that you decided "let's do this" and start working on your own business?
I have been working on Miss Fizz for many years, it was a work in progress – I knew that I wanted a Mobile Bar and that It had to be different and have a unique offering. Once I came up with the concept everything fell into place really quickly after that, it definitely wasn’t built in a day.
Describe your business in 3 words?
Fun, Bright and Bubbly
Did education help you start this business or are you self taught?
Definitely self-taught, I have thought about studying Business Management Part-Time just to gain some more skills. High School was not for me at the time, I got a Full-Time job instead.
Your advice for small business owners?
Trust your gut and be different - just focus on what you are doing and not other similar Businesses.
What's the hardest lesson you have learnt in your business?
Charging correctly, I was undercharging when I first started as I just wanted to have a full calendar and be busy every weekend. I now choose what Events we do and If I feel as though they don’t align with what we offer then I politely turn them down. I would rather do half the Events at a high quality.
How was working with Chloe Richardson Creative?
Working with Chloe was such a breeze, my branding was so important to me, it had to stand out and be fun and that’s exactly what she did. I got plenty of different options to choose from and the turnaround was really quick, I would definitely work with Chloe again and recommend her to friends.
